Sometimes secrets live a short life. Sometimes a longer one. And then sometimes secrets can last for a lifetime.
Small towns are a hard place to keep a secret if anyone talks about it. So hard that those involved do everything they can to hide it from everyone, including denying it to themselves.
Welcome to the quiet town of Sleepyside. A place where jewel thieves, con men, and various other unsavory characters live. The town that the members of our favorite club, The Bob-Whites of the Glen, still call home, irregardless of where they reside now. And where one family has a secret larger than any of the BWGs can imagine. (And where there is one secret, can others help but be close behind?)
A Massive Secret
Sometimes secrets occur for the best of reasons. Many times they are kept for a very short time. Other times they may be kept longer than anyone expected. Some are kept out of fear or out of caution. Others are kept to protect a loved one or one's self. The problem is no matter what the reason that secret is kept, no one knows what the implications will be once the truth comes out. Sleepyside has had its share of criminals, impostors, and lost individuals. So secrets are generally sniffed out and investigated quickly. But sometimes being close to a secret makes it harder to see. Welcome to Sleepyside (and the surrounding area) as you find out how the secret started and what happens when it is discovered.
Peter Belden and Ed Lynch are in college after a four year stint in the military. In the last half of
their college years, an event occurs which starts the massive secret.
